Fresh water bone fish is what I used to call them. I fished shallow water where large schools would feed. I found if you could drop something fuzzy like a dry that would sink in front of a stationary fish odds were it would be taken. Careful casting a must! You spook one, you spook them all. Did have one take a mosquito pattern off the surface once. It was about 9+ lbs. quite the experience on a 3WT. Rod!

I-ve started to get into carp on the fly over the past couple of years. Quickly become my favorite species to target even though I-ve only caught 3. Love seeing content on them.

Catch these in Manchester, New Hampshire. Sight fishing in early am shallows in the Merrimac river. They often roll on the surface giving themselves away.
