Nice video Mark! Could you please explain why you choose this technique over west coast style using mono running line and just keeping all the line off the water, except for the sinking tip?
And this water looks good for euro-nymphing as well wonder why you choose to use a swing presentation over nymphing?

Great video and explanation of the technique. I started messing around with this swinging flies for Smallmouth with my single hand rod. It has also opened the opportunity for me to learn single hand Spey casting techniques which is fun and can be useful in different scenarios!

Awesome I just troll wooly buggers in Stillwater's. May June 1st 2weeks of July. What is called the Las Vegas fly is a great choice. Catches big one's. You could fish a lifetime to find a better fly and that keeps fishing fun.

Thanks for the tips on fast water. What sort of line and rod do you use for streamer fishing? Do you switch up to a longer rod and heavier sinking line or just work away with your regular dry setup?

Swinging is a lot fun because they eat and turn on the fly so often, strikes are powerful! Nice to cover water too. Landed 1 winters fish this week doing just that.

Nice technique! This is 99% of what we do here in middle TN on tailwater below TVA dams. Not many hatches to speak of here so buggers are the go-to for many of us

Try not to cast across your body and do most of the upstream mend in the air the angle is better and is more efficient! Way easier
