I disagree with you that it's only a warm water bait, Al. I use this bait in the cold of spring when ice first breaks and the lure is phenomenal! I also use them for ice fishing, so I think your theory is off.

I would say 100 percent that you better have a steel leader on those baits or expect to be spending a lot of money replacing them.
