That can be quite dangerous. My Father knew a guy who died from stepping into a hole, he suffered an open fracture and bled to death, so for anyone ice fishing be extremely cautious where the holes are, happy fishing.

Do NOT EVER fish through ice with a 6 inch auger size hole but rather get a chainsaw and cut fish holes 12 feet by 12 feet square. You catch bigger fish that way. DUH!

If it makes Sam feel better I did the same thing with not seeing the hole but mine was a spear hole and it was -10 F but I was fine
