GREEN ADVENTURES (Outdoor Adventure Activities in North West Ontario) Chris: It is definitely an odd sensation when you go under the first time. I am kinda jealous you got to dive such a nice place. Most of my dives where in conditions where you can see a foot maybe. I was a public safety diver so we trained in bad conditions and spent a lot of my dives searching for people. I don't do the diving with the Fire Department anymore but plan on doing some recreational dives eventually. We always called it hydro therapy when we would dive. I could bust my butt under the water but always felt great when I got out.

Early on in the vid I was thinking wow it's only his 3rd or so dive and he's already ice diving laughed out loud when you shot the part that you freaked out and had to come up, I had a hunch that was going to happen. I had some anxiety sitting here watching you and I have dove 40+ times. Great job Jay! Can't wait to see what diving vids you have in store. I go up to Lake of the Woods / Kenora area about the third week in July every year for Musky fishing. We should meet up and dive one day while i'm there! Cheers!

When we were younger a buddy of mine was into diving and helped our local sheriffs department do recovery once in awhile, so a few of us were into spearing in the winter. So one day another of our friends was out in his spear house and we went out to a guys spear house that was setup close him and Tim suited up for the mission and down he went so he pops up in our buddys shack and he about shit himself! God dam we laughed so hard! Still gets a good chuckle when we bring it up!

YO JAY, YOU CRAZY MAN! BE CAREFUL! HAHAHA That is AWESOME! I am excited to see the footage in your videos to come that you capture diving. Kind of like Hook n' Look, the fishing show. Gotta get into some clear water and capture some MUSKIES MAN! It will be cool to see any fish's behavior, seeing them in schools and how they move about, eat, interact with other fish, etc. You will create some CRAZY opportunities for yourself diving, not that you haven't already. CRAZY COOL!

Your timing is great on this one and the Hawaii upload. Just recently showed my children my scuba license and been talking about how much I want to get back into it. I personally have never done an ice dive but with an experienced crew I would with zero hesitation (says the guy sitting safely on his couch) but seriously would love to try it. Scuba diving for me is the most relaxed and tranquil moments I have ever experienced. Thanks again for some great content!

8: 45, literally just did my first ice dive today and I had the exact same experience! I have never experienced panic like that on a dive before until this morning. And just like you I also went down 2 more times after that, and have another tomorrow to complete the cert lol
I too am also a new dry suit diver, there's a lot to stay on top of down there!
Thank you for sharing your experience man, I feel a lot better now!

Love the video Jay! Super excited to see what you do with it! I think it would be cool to have clips of the fish species as b-roll during regular videos (ie walleye video with walleye underwater b-roll.
Could also use it to demonstrate techniques like targeting different substrates or demonstrating how different jig patterns change lure movement underwater!
Also just anything cool you come across!

So awesome that you did this. with your passion and skill in photography and videography, I can see this yielding some incredible content. Also super impressed that you shared about your anxiety with us. the sort of thing that would make a lot of people give up after the first or second try. Great encouragement for all of us to not be embarrassed of initial setbacks, and keep trying!

Nothing crazy about it. I can't believe the price of those Aquatech housings. And they're only good to 33'? My Ikelite was on a couple hundred bucks more and it's good to 200'. Underwater setup are pricey. I'm into mine for well over 10k. If you're ever looking for a dive buddy shoot me a message.

I used to love to go to northern Minnesota to fish. While I still enjoy doing that, I find myself getting more excited finding clear water to snorkel in up there.
