Thanks for this series Jay. I bought the Dipstick last year on your recommendation and it's been fantastic on gills, crappie and perch. I've caught a few smaller bass on it, but nothing too substantial yet. I dont know if you own any TUCR rods, but I've been wondering how the TUCR Bullwhip compares to the Dipstick. Not sure if I should pick up a Bullwhip to use in addition to my Dipstick or if there's too much overlap in their performance as far as style/sensitivity, etc. The Dipstick is like ONE THIRD the price so if I wouldnt gain anything by buying a Bullwhip it hardly seems worth it. Keep up the good work brother! Oh, and tell the Frostbite boys to put out a vid explaining the Burnt v1 rods vs the Burnt v2 series rods and if there have been any changes, etc.

Mr.
Forget rods for pikes! Pikes is ALL about tip-ups. It's the only specie that you will do better on tip-ups than on jigging rods. Jay, no inline reels? Really? Man, you're missing the boat for shallow (less than 15ft) perch, panfish and bass. And two thumbs up for keeping those short rods in your basement where they belong. Short rods are a thing of the past. Great serie, love it!

Years ago I went ice fishing with my grandfathers buddy. He would take an old junk rod and cut it above the forward grip then epoxy the tip section inside the grip. Im pretty sure most guys would scoff at this but in my area we get maybe 2-3 weeks of decent ice in late January early February so to those old timers there was no sense in buying a new ice fishing rod.

What type of line do you recommend? I fish braid in summer and love it compared to mono but havnt been able to find a braid that works well in the cold. Seems like braid is only good for in the tent and mono outside. What do you suggest? Love the series btw!

Comes with everything you enjoyable. fishing need to get started fishing. I love how compact it is and yet very sturdy when fully extended. Haven't got anything with it yet, but that ain't the poles fault lol!

Nice & imformative video thanks. All the rods you mentioned seem awfully long to me, But I fish in portable shanty so for lack of room use shorter rods.
