We're back in the old town kayaks! This time doing some backcountry Musky fishing! It was a pretty special day, for multiple reasons. haha! Matt: Great video, Kudos to you Jay for giving Brandon the chance to work for you. He's definitely a valuable asset. Kudos to Brandon on his first musky and hook in the thumb. Thank god the hook was already out of the musky's mouth when he got stuck, it could have been a lot worse. Glad he was able to continue fishing.

Last week my bud stuck big treble hook his forearm through his sweatshirt. I had to take the lure off the hook and cut out the hook with a knife.
I had a j13 perch jointed Rapala come out netting a tiger musky and stuck it just below my eye. Had to go to ER and get it removed.
Lets go Brandon!

Unhooking his finger made me sweat. I did that twice in 2 days after never doing it once in 20 years. Both were in bad spots. First went through the tendon on my pointer finger(hospital trip) second I kinda just cut the barb out with a razorblade.

Another awesome informative video, Jay! Whether its removing hooks from your hand, or letting us folks know about the ol moose nests, you never disappoint! Happy fall, and I wish you a great upcoming ice season!

Awesome vid. A couple times a year I do a very similar outing. Comparable number of musky, just even smaller and I use my standup paddle board. So much fun!
And oh, those moose nests. Fish like them too!

Hey Jay, I always enjoy your content. You have a great taste in video editing and you are a pleasant presenter and speaker in front and behind the camera. Greetings from Pickering, Ontario.

Elusive moose nest eh? You should try those gluten free chocolate timbits I found near the last moose nest I found. Mine must have gone bad because it had a very earthy swampy taste.

Just for the future knipex bolt cutters are a must have when musky fishing. Takes no pressure to cut the hooks, they have saved me more times then I can count!

I actually had the pleasure of trying a Canadian Moose egg this winter. You can make a whole meal out of it! Very nutritious.
