Hi Jay. followed you tips and it worked. 2 days ago caught biggest pike I have caught in 40 years. I live in alberta. fish was 51. 75 inches. over 30 lbs. caught her on 8lb test line. pickerel rig with 6lb snelled trout hooks. we posted a vid on you tube titled gigantic nothern pike March 2022. DO NOT WATCH WITH KIDS. sorry for language in vid. we were losing our nut. we were not prepared for a fish this size. lol. scale at end of vid was rusted and bottomed out at 23. 5 lbs. need a new scale. thanks for tips. only ever caught 3 pike 30 pounds or more. your vids are great. keep em coming. let us know what you think of fish. D.
P S. yes we released her in great shape. lol

That's a pretty cool place. I like the underwater footage. Why can't they make a decent underwater camera with built in recording at a reasonable price? That camera, battery, and recorder setup seems like a heavy pain in the butt.

Man that Pike was healthy! They obviously have food and oxygen. It's cool you talked about the bubblers. I think oxygen levels are overlooked bigtime and with townships doing weed kills the levels get effected massively.

This is crazy. My dad has a cabin at that lake and Ive only ever done summer fishing and had mediocre success at pike. Time to take a trip!
