Hey Jay I love what you do recently just found your page couple months ago and you have inspired me to take the steps into filming fishing and hunting I've always wanted to do it for a living and I pray that it will get to what I want it to be sharing my experiences with other people and hopefully teaching along the way you have definitely taught me lots and I thank you for that at the moment waiting to purchase a decent camera and my goal is to start have a camera by April for spring turkey season and that will be the start of my journey. anyway thank you again for what you do!

Great Video Jay! Good on you for spending the day teaching students about fishing! Really wish more schools would offer an outdoor education program like Westgate. So much to enjoy and learn about in the great outdoors! Makes me miss the days when I was able to take students out to a lake/ river. A lot more policies/ procedures put in place in recent years.
Keep making a difference in others lives and keep up the great work Jay!

Love the shows, but have to ask about the trophy thing. Im from the states and 90% of the reason me and a lot of people i know go to Winnipeg is for the trophy opportunity. I understand catch and release of larger fish and still have not caught the one i would like to mount, saying that, are any of the people up there worried about the tourism aspect. Also understand replicas but feel its not the same and sometimes fibbed about.

One of the coolest vids i have seen recently! just started ice fishing this year, I got a ton of inspiration from your videos and learned a ton. You helped show a lot of my friends to catch fish all the way down in West Virginia! Such a great feeling helping other people learn and share the excitement and fun I get from fishing with other people. also this video is waayyyyy underviewed should be atleast a million views!

So everyone can fish in Canada, if he wants to it is important to teach at least the basics of Biology and fish handling. Well done!
Over here in germany you have to pass a Test with 60 questions out of 660 from Biology, gear, Laws and so on. But for Kids they can fish without it Till they are 16.
Its important to bring Kids out into nature and Show them the value of food and what is necessary to get it.

What a fun video to watch! We need more people like you Jay getting these kids off their phones and experiencing the outdoors. Wish the Girl would have hooked into one but thats fishing right. This is awesome! So great teaching teaching them proper fish handling! I'm 15 and hate when people keep large fish! I still see people holding pike by the eye. makes me mad to say the least! More schools around Canada need to do things like this! GET KIDS OUTSIDE! Caught my biggest pike this weekend 14lbs!

I remember in elementary school we would have a class out on the ice. All the parents and teachers would help out drill holes and set up tents or tip ups before us kids arrived. It was what every kid looked forward too every winter. Thanks for taking me down memory lane Jay, keep up the good work!

Too many people on the water is a reality in most of the US. Up in CA, yall dont have enough people to overpressure your resource'ssorry to rant but Im not wrong. How many boats have you seen junked, not many Id guess. They just keep getting re-sold and new ones built. Numbers dont lie.

Jay, I cant thank you enough for posting this video. Your education portion of the video was awesome. Kids are the future of fishing. I really enjoyed your commentary to them about fish handling. This is often overlooked in colder temps. Youre a great fishing ambassador. Well done.
