I personally like the senko without the ring because for me I think that it pressures and gives a lot more tension when you are hooked. I actually tested this theory out and the senko without the ring lasted longer. It doesn't really matter because the senko will break apart after a few fish but with the ring it will just weaken the senko to break faster. So many good factor without the ring like better movements, presentation, looks more natural and last longer. Now to have more fish on is all about your hook sets. Reel in slack and set semi hard not too hard or weak but just hard enough that you know the hook is jam into the bass mouth.

I've been fishing for just a few years, I live in WV on a river. I normally catch small mouth on creature baits and grub type stuff. I found your video because I'm looking to learn how to fish worms in current. I've only used worms a little mostly because I don't know how to use them in current. Every video I see is lake fishing with worms. Is it the same? How hard is it to wacky rig and drag the bottom in current and get the same action and results? or should I just scrap the worms on the river and stick to other methods?

O like your video's. would you do a video that NO ONE has ever done(at least I've never seen one. that is how & when to set the hook when Bass fishing. There are tons of vid. s on this subject but I've not seen a vid. like I'm asking for. Maybe it would mean setting some kind if video rig up on the pole. IDK. anyway something VERY VIVID & precise timing on the setting of your hook. I just can never seem to set the hook at the right time. or maybe I'm pulling back to soon or. etc.

Thanks for your help. Very good and informative video. I'm still pretty new to the plastic baits, i like to bait fish, live bluegills are my favorite, but i am trying to be a well balanced fishermen, but those plastics. I do better with large nightcrawlers. Thats what i don't get. I catch with the nightcrawlers and not or very little with the plastic baits. Thank you i am going to try the wacky rig.

more trash in the waterways- most of my favorite fishing spots are littered with this stuff-people not picking up after themselves. try natural baits -the fish and turtles can digest it at least. worms, crickets, crawdads, etc. nothing worse than finding your fishing spot is a dumping ground for slobs that claim they are fisherman.

I had a girlfriend years ago who could catch bass with those rubber senko worms. I taught her to fish but didn't bother with rubber worms. She picked it up naturally. I can't catch a bass with a rubber worm or a spinner to save my life. Now a top water lure that's game on

I was just wondering if you put the O ring on the hook then insert the hook in through the worm and then take the O ring and pull it underneath the worm and hook it to the other side of the hook. Seems like a good way to do it using only one O ring.

just roll the O-rings on. instead of looking for the tool all day. ha. my o rings are big enough that a tick worm (oily buggers) slide right on. not really tight. hook the worm a tad and all is swell. thanks for video. appreciated.

Watch your line, if it runs let it run then bury the hook. if it jumps wait 1 second reel fast and set Long side sweeping hook set and you're hook up ratio will be in the 90's I use a size one matzo straight circle hook. deadly

great video, I've avsolutely refused to use the black o rings because of this, will definitely give this crisscross rig a try. but fyi I've plenty of success with no keeper but loss senkos like crazy because.
