I'm back to bass fishing in Nebraska In this episode of Fishing with Flair I head south to my buddy Christians place to do some summer topwater bass fishing. Unfortunately the bass were not willing to cooperate and were not eating the frog, BUT we did manage to land some nice fish on buzzbaits, chatterbaits and soft plastics

It is true they are junk dad's went belly up and mine was good but old. The older ones were alot better, call and shop or trolling motor dealer that sells both brands and ask them if motorguide is the best or have they had problems. He will probably look at yea funny and he will say only every one has came back or had to get shipped to get them fixed. now if you fin a early 2000 model you are OK just the past 5 years there quality control has went down the pooper shute. stay away just get a minn kota. Also look at every reviews for motor guide on cabela's or bpro and you will see the difference.

I had an old as MG brute and it only broke because my dumbass didn't pull it up before blasting off. The pinion gear broke only and that was it. I have a X3 now and couldn't be happier. He bought the boat with the MG on it and it could of been abuse before. Don't you have a MG on your bass tracker too flair? The one that sticks up 3 foot above and flexes way to much because the shaft is too long for your boat.

I really like about a 10 trouser snake, flesh color. I usually fish it wacky and fast. The faster the better. Some times i'll go deep, really deep, but not too deep. It's cool to mess around and figure out what gets the fish turned on. I love getting them all hot and bothered and then I catch them and feel like a big time stud.

For the record every motor guide that i've ever used i've loved. on our old boat that now belongs to my grandpa, we have a old motor guide on it that's over 25 years old. it works better than any other minn kota i've ever used. Never one single problem with it.

My dad has a motor guide and the speed dial broke on it and it just keeps spinning. In my opinion I think they are way heavier and harder to lift than others. Performance wise they seem to be a lower quality than other products. Just my opinion

There are bass in Nebraska? I live basically right in the middle, and there arent any lakes nearby that have any largemouth bass, there are some walley and rock bass, but mainly just catfish, i wish there were better bass places in my area: /

Andrew maybe you can answer a question for me? Why do all the bass guys seem to set the hooks so dang hard? Is that just needed or is that just how you set your hook? Great video just wondering about the hook set.
