STOCKING My Pond with TROPHY FISH Hide Behind: Best inexpensive, and cleanest attractant I use for crawdad and minnow traps are Dollar or discount stores small cans of cat food. Sometimes cost is 4 for dollar, and makes no diff flavor. Use Mult tool leather punch to make holes in cans; If they have pull tabs lift them just enough to dangle in traps so if using square traps or the cones and you have to tie rope and toss a bit from bank, holes will remain water accessable. They will easily last 2 or 3 days submerged, and take up little room there and the just heel smash cans, place in plastic bag. For good attracting catfish and especially carp throw trap in pond with 4 or more punched can, instead of wire traps I place in small burlap rice bags, tie tops and hang from limbs or tie rope and toss in your favorite fishing hole, ponds, creeks or river. do this a week or less before fishing. When young for pond or slow current fiver bends, we used to buy cracked corn in 20- 50# burlap bags, (Gunnysacks) and at first ice out just drop to bottom and it will begin to ferment as water warms. We attracted damn near every species, eels, catfish, perch, bluegill, bass carp, suckers and large pickeral. We never told locals of reason we caught so many fish. Bass and pickers especially attacked bags like sharks, and feasted on minnows and crawdad that piled on bag. Turtles come from miles away. Good trick to attract fish to dock for when young-uns come over.

First let me say that I enjoy watching your videos very much. Thank you for posting them. The only thing I might suggest, is handling the fish better, with a little more respect and paying attention to how and when you release them. This is especially important in your private pond. Stressed and traumatized fish can easily create disease and sickness. And you dont want any of that in your pond. Also, i wouldnt put much trust and faith into your supplier, they didnt even show you how to properly handle your net or release your fish. Well anyway, I like your pond.

I wouldn't put crappie in a bass and catfish pond. I know others will say different but in every pond I've ever Fished if there were crappie everything else suffered. They reproduce so fast and eat everything they really out compete fish in a pond. I'd establish healthy bream and forage shiners crawdads etc populations then add small bass and a few medium and maybe 3 or 4 over 2lbs for every acre then the next year if bass are reproducing and forage seems healthy add a few grown crappie maybe 10 per acre they will explode fast

You can stockThe hybrids and they wont over populate so if you stalk like 20 you can see how they do They also taste amazing and I would definitely get a fish feeder and use high protein food. Depending of how many minnows, tadpoles and crayfish you stock would depend on how much I would feed. Whats the depth of your pond? Small mouth would be awesome

This made me cringe so hard you have no respect for the animals you take care of this is so disappointing and your lack of respect as well as your retarded beard is what makes me hate you the most out of all of the googans jon b lunkers and LFG are the only good googans

hybrids are a bad idea if you dont want green sunfish. they will spawn hybrids, bluegils, and green sunfish. you will get a few since you already have greenies, they wrecked my ponds for massive crappie, perch, and pure gills

For crawfish use thin slices of cow heart and right before you place the trap put some frozen cat food in the trap. Cat food draws them in as it defrosts, the heart keeps them sustained while they wait for harvesting.

I personally would have left the catfish out they eat the bluegills and the fast if you're trying to start a population the bluegills and bass would have been your best option and left the catfish out

I live in Alabama and our ponds we like to keep some ponds with catfish and hybrid bream others with bluegills and largemouth bass. This just seems to work the best for us for growing big fish

Holy shit, I wish there was a slow mode where I could actually listen to you talk. You say more in 10 seconds than any normal person can say in 2 hours. Lay off the speed next time.
