BEST TASTING FISH? Crappie, Bass, Tilapia

After wondering what the best tasting freshwater fish was for a long time, we decided to do a taste test! I was totally wrong! John: Thanks for the fresh fish taste opinion. I love fresh fish and the best were when I was 12 years old and the 28 bluegills we caught and had to work to scale and clean what we caught so Mrs Boheom would cook them and they were the best fish even small patties I have ever eaten. Since I worked at fine food restaurants growing up I tasted halibut which is like the steak of fish and was amazed. I got older went to a Florida fresh fish market and grilled and tasted fresh sea bass, shark and grouper. My son grilled them all but did not compensate the time and heat for each fish. The sea bass was great but the shark and grouper last off the grill were over cooked. I have bought blackened salmon that was fantastic and and found that I love fish but how it is cooked and prepared is key to the real evaluation of taste of fish.

My favorite fresh water fish is catfish, rainbow trout, Bass, and northern pike, but my number favorite of the fresh water fish is not a fish at all it's a mud turtle, and Gators, and my number one favorite salt water fish is sea turtle because they are so good to eat

Everyone talks how good crappie is. It can be. If it's either caught thru the ice or cooked, then put in the fridge overnight and then reheated the next day. But summertime crappie that goes straight from lake to pan is MUSHY.

Know this one is old, but Crappie is way better than both others if done right. Bass is ehh. Tilapia is a poop fish. No thanks haha! Also it's crop-e, not crap-e. Always enjoy the videos and love to see how far you've come!

White perch is my favorite cooked anyway possible then Salomon and probably brook trout. Never tried large month bass that's how I found this video actually

You cant use the same bag to season and the same oil for a taste test. It not a valid taste test. The oil is going to screw up the true flavor

I want to try crappie. Only reason I haven't yet is because I tryed largemouth before and it was the worst fish I never finished.

Tilapia stuffed with lemon grass, onion, ginger, garlic, and tomatoes! Grilled is the best for me! Lol Southeast Asian style!
