I've concluded long ago that if all freshwater black bass ( largemouth, smallmouth, spotted, etc ) grew to be a hundred lbs, NONE of our freshwater lakes & rivers would be safe for children & pets. The bass would be more dangerous than most gators. When I was around 11 yrs old, I tried to catch a 13+ lb bass that belonged to a friend's father in his little pond, by hand. I was enticing the bass by dangling a plastic worm ( by hand ) & THOUGHT I would grab the bass by it's mouth with my free hand. HA! That giant bass grabbed my entire hand & wrist & shook violently, getting me soaking wet. It happened so fast, I was stunned. The entire back of my hand & wrist was shredded from it's brush teeth & bleeding all over. That sucker was vicious, lol. It was startling & funny at the same time, lol.

I once caught a nice 14 inch bass and when i cleaned it i found the smallest baby turtle i ever seen. It looked like it was just eaten. Dead, but fresh.

It s a common musk turtle I didn t know y all had those down there but that what it is tho I have one as a pet you can tell by the yellow lines on its face
