I remember about 25 years ago I went Trout fishing below Beaver Dam on the White River, when I got down by the water with my spin-cast Ultra Light, the fly fishermen that were there said nothing was biting, that they had been fishing for 3 hours with no luck. After about 20 minutes I was leaving. One of the fishermen was up on the bank where I was, he was shocked that I was leaving with my limit (7 fish at that time, I just shrugged my shoulders and said, exactly what I expected and left.

Any of the aluminum boats w/twin Honda s were probably built by Lawrence Larry Tanner, here in Melbourne. Most of the boats had originally been named Kiddo and went from I-VII (kiddo II, Kiddo III, etc) Fantastic boats, really fantastic layout and quality. I think John bought the most recent one.

Yo we used to own a cabin up there, see if you can find anybody who knows the Tanner family. Our grandfather used to build a boat in Fl, but a RV, and tow it all the way from Melbourne. After the halibut season was over, sold it all and flew back to Fl with 100lbs of halibut per person

I keep hoping we run into you, but reality is we are building our homestead from scratch and fishing just isn't in the cards for us this summer. If you want to come over during duck season, we have wetlands in our backyard!

That is super cool, me and the wife were just in Ninilchik 3 weeks ago. We stayed at Soaring Eagle Lodge. We launched from that spot with Ninilchik Charters, we brought 47 pounds of Halibut back to West Texas (San Angelo)
