Dude, are you baiting us to get comments and bump the algorithm, or are you really planning on killing the first legal blue you catch off Florida I just listened to Andy Mill’s Millhouse podcast with Richard Stanczyk, and he talks about how there used to be a lot of blues offshore South Florida out on the Wall and in the Straits. I fish off Texas and have caught and been on the boat for several blue marlin. My policyand the standard almost everywhere now outside of Baja and Konais always to release unless the fish is dying or it's a massive fish in a money tournament. Whatever you choose to do man, I respect that, keep up the great content and tight lines (just please leave the flying gaff in Florida if you ever find yourself bump trolling a little yellowfin on the floaters offshore Texas, lol.

Epic Catch Vic!
I had never seen a blue in the last 15 years I've fished SFL. Then 2 weeks ago coming back from the Bahamas while crossing the stream, I saw a frigate and went over to investigate. I saw fish that from a distance looked to be jumping and enourmous splashes. As i got closer i saw fish tumbling through the air amid massive splashes. As i got closer there was a massive Blue Marlin wacking fish through the air and circling back to clean up afterwards. He wasnt even concerned about the boat. Definitely the coolest thing I've ever seen out there.
It has definitely been a fishy summer here in SFL.

Florida has been on my fishing bucket list since 2021 and I still haven’t scratched the surface on it, in both freshwater and saltwater fishing, I’m still learning how and I do all my fishing in the east coast ( NY) but it’s a absolute treat to come back to Florida and try fishing for both new species and see the same species as New York but with different morphology

absolutely amazing, love you Vic and your team, keep it coming my friend, also I want to let you know that did fish 2 weeks ago with one of your buddies ( captain Matt) and even though it was very hot and rough we landed 2 blue runners ( one of them was the largest we had ever caught and it was my first one)

I don’t know if you know but you can easily rip the skin of the mahi if you cut the edges just like you do for the filet and then just peel a little skin of the head and rip it off. You will safe a lot of meat and time haha

I fish venice a lot and a lot of the guides say that with the electric reels they pull a lot of swords off. They have a better time keeping them on with hand crank. You could get a drill attachment to check the baits.

I love your catch, clean and cook, but I cringe every time you just pour on the salt. I’m not a salt person and me. That is way too much salt. I do not cook with salt, but your dishes look amazing.

In Maldives they catch those fish without hooks. They put out a long ribbon and the ribbon gets tangled in the swordfish's beak. I don't know how but it's very effective here.

to save time, salt, pepper, garlic, oil, etc. the pan FIRST, then lay the fish down, then season the top. and you don't have to flip them.
