NEW Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler Walkthrough - Outdoor Retailer 2017 Leo: They spoke about the Pros but what about the cons?
1. Imagine being far away from boat dock and the drive breaks. This would be akward and hard as HELL to paddle back to vehicle.
2. Sitting at this height in medium to high windy days you will be blown all around.
3. No more easy loading into bed of a truck or car top, this will require a trailer.
4. Easy reaching for gear will require you to get up or lean like crazy.
5. Catching a fish will not be close inside of the boat to you, you will need to get off seat and lean over or get on knees for hook removal or pics.
Last but not least with this magnitude of a yak/skiff Frankenstein just go buy a kayak of your choice or a skiff. I couldn't immagine launching this and fishing flats all day. Looks disastrous.
I wanna be positive but no. not my cup of tea

A very thorough review, Robert! I think this will sell well if they keep it in the same general price range as the big Native Titan and the two Hobie PAs. Interestingly, there really isn't much innovative about this catamaran, just a collection (and a good one) of many currently available features. .. all in one boat. I do think the new Jackson Drive breaks some new ground. Too, on adding a gas motor option, I'd likely stay with a 2 or 2. 5 HP as this cat will still be affected by hull speed limitations. In another review, it mentions that it has been pedaled at up to 8 MPH in a sprint. If this statistic is accurate, I think they'll gain significant market share in the top end pedal kayak market. Finally, I see endless add-on possibilities for this vessel including a sail option, umbrella, so many others. Brad

So maybe I see an application here that many haven't. I love bowfishing and have been looking at yaks and sups and trying to find something I feel would make a stable one person platform to bowgish from. I'm very interesting in this with the raised seat and the deck area. It seems to have plant if room to safely shoot a compound type bow. Shallow draft to get into the hard to reach places. Yeah you could use a john boat or a skiff but then you are forced to use a motor. I like the idea of not having a motor making it easier to sneak in close. Just my thoughts. If really like to see one of these up close and in person to see if it would truly meet my needs.

I note that if one looks on Blue Sky Boatworks' webpage now, it shows a weight of 170 lbs. and it also shows a weight capacity (for what it calls optimal performance) of 400 lbs. On the video, it claims it is coming in at around the 120 lbs. weight, that it has an expected capacity of 600 lbs. Those are big misses. 400 lbs. is likely plenty, of course, but I really wonder about a 41. 6% miss in weight. Since the two hulls' weight was likely known, the drive too, what the heck accounts for the added 50 lbs? Brad

_Used it for the first time last week on trip to Smith Mountain Lake in VA. >__allmy. tips/SevylorKayaks? __ < Quality was far superior then my expectations. I've sat in hard shell top sitting kayaks and been more uncomfortable in a shorter period of time! Set up was easy. struggled a little trying to figure out how to put seat on, but once figured out it was great! Breakdown easy too! _

I've seen several video reviews of this pedal boat, but have yet to see one where someone is actually underway utilizing the pedal drive. I haven't seen any video of this boat making turns or reversing on the water. I like the concept and what I've seen so far, but can someone post a link to a video where I can see this boat being pedaled and actually being used to fish from?

What a great idea, for a hunting, fishing platform, family outing, or exercise and enjoying the great outdoors. Low cost to operate, easy to care for, lots of room for storage, equipment, and extras. Pedal propulsion at its best, with other options on the way. No complaint from me about the price. Good quality, great service, and years of enjoyment. tks Jackson Kayaks/Blue Sky.

I like it, but as other have said approximately 3500 is quite a bit to be spending on something like this. I picked up my 2014 17' Carolina Skiff with a 25hp Johnson with a warranty until 2019 for 3000. I guess once the kids are out of the house this would be manageable, but I sure do like it. The quest for a suitable kayak for me continues.

Robert Field What are you using for the sound capture during filming and the audio clean-up during the editing process? Are you and the interviewee mic-ed up during this clip? Are you using a boom-mic? Did you edit the background noise?

All that talk about what it can do. For 3500. 00 we need to see it in action. 2 guys were standing on it? Show us. I want to see some facts not hear some hearsay lol. this looks amazing!
