WAY TO GO AMELIA, GOOD JOB! But there's 2 important things Amelia: #1. Ya need to get your Dad to buy you some good POLARIZED sun glasses. You'll be able to see MUCH better into the water, PLUS they will keep the bright sun from damaging your eyes. #2. LISTEN TO YOUR DAD, HE'S RIGHT: In bass fishing, ALWAYS keep your rod UP HIGH, so the bend in the rod can keep the pressure on the bass during a fight. Pumping the rod is only for deep sea fishing. Every time you lower that rod tip, you're giving the bass a better chance to escape. YA WANNA KEEP THAT ROD BENT AT ALL TIMES WHILE FIGHTING A BASS.
