VERY informative and Brian offers excellent reasons behind the use of each line. I honestly had never considered these things so I appreciate these insights. My ONLY suggestion: it would have been amazing to see the difference in the water, maybe like film the movement difference in a pool to add to the visual understanding of these differences. I know some people, like me, learn better from seeing things than just hearing them. JMO though as this was truly a great video and one I will come back to multiple times as a refresher before the season. Thanks for what you're doing!

Lunkerstv just did a video and said that power pro is not any good. Was doing some test on googan rods and the line kept failing. I thought you and the googans where in business together. Didn't make sense for him to be beating up on one of your sponsors. Is there an issue with power pro or was it just a random type thing. I use power pro and have never had an issue.

The tournament vids are great but THIS is the sort of video that keeps me coming back for more. Going to the garage to spool up one of my spinning rigs right now. with straight fluorocarbon. Especially appreciate the insight on the difference in lure movement between the two setups. Thanks BLat and Scott.

I love straight fluoro on spinning tackle for bass and crappie. Great point about small crankbaits on straight fluoro, also. 1/4 ounce cranks in shallow water when it is a little windy work best on spinning gear with 8 lb fluoro in my opinion.

Flouro this and braid that. I just buy Stren Monofiliment line. I'm a 62 yr old river bank fisherman, and see no need to pay up to 40 to restring a 25 dollar reel. The sporting goods industry has become a huge money thing.

Great video B Lat, I love the educational videos. I live in Tennessee and love to fish deep. Great tip I did not know that fluorocarbon was better in really windy conditions, I will definitely use that tip.

I like fluoro on a spinning reel for jerkbaits. I typically use braid for my ballhead jigs myself but see the point made for sure. Might make an adjustment on one of my rods as a result of watching this.
