I feel like the idea of not hammering you spots is just wishful thinking. When you find a good spot you need to just hammer it, catch 20 lbs out of there if you need to. You're never gonna be able to stop anyone from coming in behind you and catching the rest of your fish. When you find a good hole I really think you need to hit it hard and always catch what you can from it. I have no idea how many spots you try and find during practice but I would have my plan laid out and then another 15-20 spots I think could hold fish. I use google earth and navionics and have 30 spots picked before I show up to the lake. The thing is though I actually suck lol so my spots don't produce anything ever. I pick the best looking spots and lose to old guys just going up and down the same banks lol my dad is one of those old guys and when I fish with him I want to pull my damn hair out because he uses 0 strategy what so ever and does well every time. I really think when you find a good spot Scott, you need to just crush it. You can't rely on being hopeful there will still be fish there the next days. Get the pickins while its hot!

Hey Scott, one question. Is the Sabine river always that milk chocolatey? Are your choice of color in your baits similar to the decisions made in constantly stained rivers in Florida? I'm just remembering one of the conversations you had with Lunkers (Rob) last month and you informed him that if the water is always this color, fish it normally. Or, will you go with the reds, chartreuse and the like? Good luck this week.

Who picks the tourney locations? A tide influenced environment with salinity just doesnt produce numbers of quality Bass. Doesnt make an exciting event. I live on erie in Buffalo and just yesterday my buddy caught over 20 smallies from 3 to 6 lbs from shore. And there definitely not spawning yet. And yup I'm going tomorrow.

I grew up in a tidal fishery and moved to Bridge City. Learning how to fish a river/tidal system is way different! Ive had some killer days fishing the sabine but had quite a bunch of days that where hit and miss! Wish I could've been there to watch.

The Sabine can be humbling, for sure. especially on our side over in Louisiana! We're away from home for a while up in Colorado, so it was nice to live vicariously through you guys down there this week. Thanks for all the great content!

Dude had trouble getting his rods untangled off the front of the boat no wonder why he didn t do any good Just joking the Sabin is fishing tuff we had two hurricanes back to back and an ice storm. Louisiana side the the best rt now.

Interesting to see you catch some fish on all blue crankbait. That reminded me of a Bass tournament won there a while back on blue flipping baits that look like blue crabs. Seems that was food source they were feeding on.

Great video. We go to the Ouachita river near Crossett Arkansas every year and its awesome. I'm from Tennessee and that style of fishing us so fun. Those cypress knees will dang sure try and make you go swimming!
