I'm a first year mechanical engineering student and recently dropped calc 1 before i could fail it. Ive never been particularly good in math (ironic ik considering i went into one of the most math heavy majors there is lmao). I have some serious holes in my math knowledge due to my long history of being a lazy student. Im deciding to take this couse before moving on to calc 1. Really hope i can finally stop considering myself to be bad at math after this!!

I really wished that Dr. Linda also graphed the example at 2:20:53 because I'm clueless as to how to shift the graph b/c the Period is in Pie, but the Horizontal Shift is a natural number (-6). How do you shift when both don't seem to be compatible... do you have to change the Pie into decimal number and go from there?

Can't believe we didn't see hyperbola and ellipse, polar coordinates, and parametric equations in high school. Apart from those, I have known every one of them. But still can't figure that out why they didn't teach us. They all make sense, and it wouldn't hurt to learn a few more after learning all the other things.
