Well tried this on 2 MXQ boxes and didn't work. Your last instruction to power off the box;. Just shuts it down...doesn't reboot, til you unplug it. I was successful once just tooth picking the AV hole and just doing a factory reset. Not understanding also what 3 partition wipes do. But all boxes are different , and some that are the same may have inferior processors . RIP Lisa Marie Presley.. Still not booting on, Return to Sender!

That's brilliant I was getting a little worried that maybe Android TV permanently broken it just stopped working one day and it's stuck on the loading screen it says the name of the device I think I'll try this later and see if it fixes it is so funny I've had both of these units for quite a few months now I've always wondered where the factory reset button was both of them are behind the av Port strange place to put it

Solved placing the update image on a SD card.
The reason for trying to do an update was that the TvBox would refused to turn on WiFi (and Bluetooth). Whenever you switch the WiFi button to on it revert almost immediately to off.
Since the update did no solve this problem, can I assume that the WiFi chip went broken
Any other had such a problem

So I was having this issue .. followed your steps for reset for the most part .. once the restart menu came up I unplugged the box and plugged it back in once it hit the logo where it would freeze up it took a couple minutes but it did boot up and I didn’t have to do the full factory reset hence I lost nothing on my box fyi

Hey Upg guy. I bought a t88 pro 10. It lasted maybe 4 days. It will not boot up at all. When plugged in I can see the red optical light on so I know the power is there. The front face does not light up. I tried factory reset (in the av) and held for over 20 seconds several times. Any clue as to the issue

I tried this. I was able to get into the system recovery screen, but it will not recognize the remote control. Light on remote lights up when buttons were pressed, tried replacing the batteries anyway, box still won’t recognize the remote. Is there a way to Hard Reset it without using the remote

I have a t95m. Lately its not even showing the logo. At times logo is flashed for moment and then it goes away...blue light is there but the indicator doesn't show time which it used to..off and on booting flashes on indicator and goes away...can someone guide

My x96max stucked on boot screen after superSU intall, I installed it from apk file. AFter install from apk , started superSU , it update library and asked for restart , I confirmed and that was the end. So far no luck with anything to get it to work .

I tried this, but the Mxq box fails to interpret remote key presses. I can cursor down to the wipe selection, but when I press OK the box interprets it as some other key press and then the box hangs.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

I have T95 Longyi Android Box, after my circuit breaker tripped, the box is stuck on boot logo, when I push the reset and then plug the power nothing happens, it won't turn on. I tried 15 seconds, then 60 seconds, nothing. Do you have an idea why

I clicked on wipe cache partition . It was clearing, after about 15 min. I thought it was frozen, It did not seem like I had to hold down. I started over, but would not click in hole. Any solutions would be appreciated.

what if it never powers on while holding down the rest button powers on fine when I plug it in, but when i hold down the reset button and plug it in, nothing happens. no power until i unplug it and plug it back in

It really works thanks but mine has power on and off button u can also hold that power on botton on ur box and so the same procedure good luck and please wait for 10 min its about this time to complete rest box

Tried this on the MXQ PRO 4 K did not work..................... any idea where i can get the firmware for the same , chip is RK 3229, dont know the version of software, the box is manufactured in 2018

I have my friends vmade. I hate cheap boxes. Try investing on firestick or nvidia shield. Anyways change the sequence. 1 plug hdmi 2 plug the power source 3 plug the toothpick. Boot will appear then wait

does not work, I tried holding reset down with HDMI plugged into it and then plug power into it still holding down rest and held down for a long time and nothing, still stuck in loading screen.

After doing this fix, on power on the logo appears and, the TvBox display (A95X R5) shows off. Logo stays on the tv but the tvbox looks off. Any solution

It worked like a charm. I kept on just unplugging the power cord because I had no idea the reset button was hidden in the AV hole . Thank you
