If people bought their operating system separate from their hardware I'd bet most would opt for a Free Linux install vs spending $100-$200 for Windows. Main reason for it's supposed popularity is because it's pre-installed on their system and people are too lazy to explore other options.

Changed to Linux a fortnite ago - Kubuntu became my thing. I live in a small country - Denmark - with about 6.2 million people. I am baffled and amazed that all I installed so far is in danish.

I tried Debian and all its derivatives but I always go back to Arch (I like pacman) and I use Windows for my daily driver because it just does everything I want it to.

Converting many people to linux is often just a matter of telling them their hardisk is corrupt and having them buy a SSD and then installing Mint with XFCE. They always love it.

I'm really tempted to give Linux a more serious go. But sadly, my main two software packages are unavailable for Linux (Adobe CC, Cinema 4D). Hopefully this is going to change...

Hey. I wanna move to a rolling release, but I have a hybrid intel-nvidia laptop. Bumblebee drivers apparently doesn't work very well with Vulkan. Any workaround on this?
