The Ultimate Linux Gaming Guide - Chris Titus Tech The Ultimate Linux Gaming Guide - This video goes over everything you need to know about Gaming on Linux and getting the MAX FPS possible Leon: Thank you Chris Titus Tech for making such an awesome guide! I spent over a hundred dollars to upgrade my CPU so I could run Windows 11 only to be told my CPU was NOT compatible and spent over 3 hours waiting for Microsoft to help me because my CPU WAS on the compatible list. They didn't help me at all. I have since quit using Windows on my personal computer and am running Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon. But since I repair computers too I keep Windows 10 on my work laptop. I installed retropie AND I follaowed your guide and got my Windows games working TOO! I just want to thank you so much for making this guide.

Hi, am having trouble with custom proton script when I say I want to install latest version I get this error
Being the actual 2 days newbie on linux any help or explanation or where to look for help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This is the error:
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Do you want to delete intalled versions?

This guy really knows his stuff... Excellent. However I would add go into the File Folder. Edit. Preferences. Behaviour. --Include a Delete command that bypasses the Rubbish bin- and un-tick it's box.... I deleted my Steam Folder by accident now I'm reloading the whole thing including the 64 Gig down load of Star Citizen on the primary drive.... Be warned.

nice detailed video. but i still have a major gripe most people just don't mention that Multiplayer will not work in most games. most notably any game using EAC most games running punkbuster. and also most games even single player with drm/copy protection wont work at all. this is the problem with linix gaming. and haas been for many years

Is that really correct? Under nvidia and Arch you should install radeon-drivers?
I think radeon is not what it should be in that list, right?
So again my gaming in Arch is down the drain :( cos I have no idea what to install as this do not work at all in my installation

I don't intend on gaming on Linux because I don't game much but the effort you put into all this is really amazing for our community. Thank you so much :D
Btw did you have to look for particular hardware? If I were to just get an AMD computer, I'd be golden right?

Hi! Nice vid! I have Guild Wars 2 running with wine and I don't know how to use gamemode with wine. Anyone knows? I read a lot of topics about lutris and steam, but I don't wanna install lutris just for that purpose when the game works fine with wine.

It's ridiculuous how it is all complicated. Isn't it possible just to download wine install it and use it for gaming? I was starting to be interested in linux but the whole list of weird commands made me really overwhelmed.
