well. good reasons, but, I found that my new Intel 12600K does not use these new E cored under linux (debian, centos, mint) and I cannot start hackintosh on it. However I tried Windows 11 and it works as expected. They only thing disappointing me in Win11 is inability to un-group open windows in taskbar. Awesome product.

I block the Updates and Telemetry reporting domain names in my Firewall by changing the resolver to push requests to 127.0.0.1. Blocks all of it for my entire network. When I want to do updates I just connect to my VPN on that computer and run updates because the tunneling from the VPN bypasses the rules. Works flawlessly.

My go to antivirus is Bitdefender cause it's free, powerful enough, but doesn't effect performance like others and only contact you when truly necessary. I also have malwarebytes installed but disabled until I need a real extreme scan of the system.

Aaaayyyyyyy Chocolatey is where it's at. Sidenote: I never realized that background network activity was not normal/needed until I switched to Linux and before I took the time to learn more about the systems I was running.

Very good premium AVs....ESET, Kaspersky, Vipre, Bitdefender, Bulllguard... Malwarebytes is decent, but far too many FalsePositives for my taste. Many of these you can get cheap keys that work if you look around.

Window 10 is d worst OS since 1980s. MS hsbn degraded every day and month. They seem to do not know the reason, not considering
User_ friendliness. WordPad and old paint are only user-ware people using from it
