Sir good day, I just want to ask and need your help so badly, because my computer and all my files got a virus called ransomeware. All my files changed in to QDLA files, Sir could you please be kind to help me or us how to recover my encrypted files? My all photo since 2005 have been changed into qdla files, please be kind to help Sir how and what should I do? Can you make a video of step by step how to do it, this is my first time I have a virus like this, I hope you will notice my message and reply, thank you so much in advance Sir.

Man... I cannot express how interesting I find these videos. Great content, Chris!
One word of advice concerning Mikrotik routers/switches. The SwitchOS is far simpler to use (in my opinion) and can do everything that 95% of people buying said products want to do. You can even manage VLANs on the simpler and less fully-featured SwOS.
In my homelab setup I use pfsense, truenas and xcp-ng (& Xen Orchestra) and can only recommend all of them.

This seems really cool but I don't yet grasp the usefulness of this over dual booting. I'm currently dual booting and it has mostly been fine for my needs. Is the advantages that you can have both linux and windows running at the same time, store data separately from the PC, and move data between computers easily? Not trying to argue that it is pointless, I want to know why go with this setup over a more traditional, single PC setup.

Hi Chris,
The Mikrotik's are actually REALLY good price wise. You're saying they are only good for L2. However this is not the case at all. Their ASIC's and OS support nearly every protocol used in the service provider industry (MPLS, BGP, OSFP). Their only drawback is support (there is no professional paid support from Mikrotik), and their gui/cli (yes routerOS has 'proper' CLI), needs some getting used to.

I think i missed it in the video: How are you switching between the screens on your different computers that are on the rack? Are you running a video cable across the room, or some sort of KVM? I totally love the approach of processing audio FIRST, that's by far the best way in my opinion. It's cool to see you process this way. I use a PreSonus Studio Live. No strain on the PC!

Could you tell more about your FCP workflow with a 10Gig NAS? Nor only the Network side, but i-m also interested in your workflow on FCP, like how you import, storing, folder structure, if you use proxy media etc. I am about to do the same, and i am not sure how to get the most performance out of it

Yes to your comment, -probably should do more pfsense videos-. Personally i would love to see a series from you, really enjoy the way you present in your videos. I really want to go into pfsense but i do fear, but i feel with your videos i might make the jump, I'm considering getting the 6100.

Chris, regarding your Mikrotik switch, switch to Switch OS instead, much better if you use the switch as a switch and not as a router. Your Mikrotik has both Router OS and Switch OS built in. You can switch between them in the settings . --
