I guess you totally missed the point of the Video. This Video is supposed to show how User friendly Linux is for Desktop and GUI Users (who are basically more than 90%). As a dude who has Linux as a daily driver in Work and know Linux for almost a decade and longer, I know that some things are faster and easier over the Terminal, but its not a convenient one. User who dont have much experience with Computer or don't have an interest in deep diving IT, its not a good option to show them the fastest way instead of the convenient way and that's what Linus Video is all about.
Therefore I don't really want to break down all of the exercise mistakes you called -not right- (i.e. the font installing. Just click install on the GUI and let it be - it's a 100% like in Windows, why reinvent the wheel or flexing with a Terminal Way? This Point makes no sense)
To be clear, I don't want to hate your Video bc. I do it almost the same as you, but I want to point out, that your solutions are not for beginners or just normal people who just want to get their work done with 3 clicks on some Buttons.

I can understand the negative feelings about part 2. I am not what people consider a linux guy. I will avoid the terminal as much as I can and programming as little as possible because I consider it a job, But when moving to linux, the most important thing in my eyes is to go in fresh. You cannot force yourself to use it in the same way, you have to look for alternatives. The whole of part 2 was the antithesis of this. Luke in part 3 kind of encapsulates it a bit better. Didn't know how, googled to check if he could use the software, he could, otherwise continue googling. Linus was also great because even though he had more hardships. These are hardships that we can realistically understand being a bit knaff

People hate the terminal, but even on Windows and Mac doing stuff on the terminal is more reliable. How many times have you installed something on those OSs but the progress bar is just standing there having an animation but literally nothing is happening on your PC?. In the terminal, you can actually see if their installation process is halted or working.
If you say people do not use terminals, you are right, we have become way lazier than we were back in the '90s. I loved fixing Windows 98 from the command line, all the power and control from there, while the GUI was not as powerful.

What I dont get is how most people dont understand basic supply and demand. Most people want to use a GUI and instead of meeting that demand the Linux comunity Just acts smug and say -well you can do this in a terminal-. Ive used Linux for 7 years and this attitude is What made me switch to Mac and Windows as my daily drivers. We get it you can use a terminal, now can you Please get your head out of your ass and fix the fundemental issues that make Linux more of an abusive boyfriend to most people, thanks

I am using linux for about 3 years , and i think it's pretty cool, i like the UI and animations but i hate whenever i have to use terminal, it's just bad UX. i know linux users like to use terminal for some reason but average person doesn't.
I am buying a new computer ( hopefully soon ) and will install windows on it because of user friendliness but i am thinking about leaving this with Ubuntu and converting it into a file server / media server.

I digitally sign a lot of PDFs on Linux. I signed a sheet of paper, took a photo of it... converted it to a transparent PNG. Then I use the xournal program to open the pdf, attach and resize my signature and then export the result as a new PDF. Many times my resulting PDF is smaller than the original.
PDF functionality is not the main purpose of Xournal, but it works really well for me to digitally sign a PDF in Linux.

The average user doesnt know all the commands to use in CLI. It would take them longer to look up each command than to do it in the gui. The point of Linus' videos is to show how difficult or even easy Linux would be for a regular user to switch to.
Watching you work in CLI reminds me of when we had a DOS computer and a binder next to it with a list of commands you needed to do anything with it.

_I just load about a hundred fonts in......about 30 seconds_
You forgot to factor in the one or two hours of internet searching a new (or seasoned) user would take to find the details of the command line mechanism you used (also noting that you added the typical, arrogant, silent snicker, as if you're the smartest guy in the world).
Linux sucks hard, but I'm using it anyway.

No-one is selling Linux. No-one is forcing you to use it. It's there, improving every day, doing amazing stuff, and it's free. Microsoft even use Linux servers! Your Android phone or tablet uses Linux (I run XFCE on my tablet). Explore, play and use it or not.
I, for one, lose not a penny if you don't use it. Go back to Father Windows and pay your fees for lousy software.

I usually end up making aliases for common and uncommon tasks that need the terminal. I script the stuff I need so I'm not always going to Google to look how to do something. Also I used Desktop Linux for almost 2 decades and use either KDE or GNOME this days depending on machine and terminal for sysadmin stuff.
