So why do people think they have to tell you what they are going to do and then tell you what they are going to do and then tell you what they are going to do and then tell you what they are going to do? Why not just do it? So you say you are going to get us through those gray screen issues three times and still haven't told us anything useful. Okay, now we learn three times there are common reasons for the gray screen. Now we learn that if we ever have the gray screen problem ever again in the future, you can come back and watch this video for the solution. Hurray! I don't think I can stand to watch any more. -

I have not finished watching this yet but have to say great advice so far and my God, you know more than the Apple tech person who knew I had not updated my iOS for a long time, had a memory/storage issue, yet advised me on the phone to update my iOS and that is when I had my MacBook Air face the kiss of death - Grey Screen moment. It is a brand new battery too so I know that is not the issue. I will continue to watch this but I am mind blown that I was told to do this when the result was pretty certain to be the kiss of death. Thanks again!

My God, I thought my MacBook wouldn't work again because it was entering my iCloud and the screen went black instantly for no reason. So, when I made this complaint to Hackermaniac on Instagram, he collected some valuable details from my MacBook and automatically had access to my MacBook. Then, after a few hours, he talked to me saying that I should on my computer and when I did I found that the black screen was gone.

I've tried every thing and it tells me in disk utility that my HD can' not be repaired.
I was a bit confused with the two Safe Boot options when I get the menu on the black screen the last line says HD cannot be repaired,but you say I'm supposed to wait until I see my desktop,and restart? I dont understand if I'm supposed to wait how long.
your explanation is a bit confusing.

My MacBook Air keeps going between gray screen and black screen. Tried all the options, but pattern remains same. Command+Option+P+R forces a reboot, flashes the apple logo but then goes back to the same pattern. The Gray screen stays for about count of 1- 20 period and goes black again; and this just repeats. Any idea what else can I try other than taking to Apple support

Good day all. I have a Mac desktop 2012 model. It's was working fine...was finishing up working the screen went off, and restated and the screen was like yellowish en the Mac logo has a purple border around it like and the logo is highlighted purple in the border. when you like when you selected text.
I hope some one can help me

Can anyone help me here? I tried basically everything but can't get the imac to work. Luckily I could access the HDD via Target Disk Mode and save everything -so I guess the Hard disk is fine?). But nothing else works, I can't even start from a mac OS usb stick to install mac OS. Does anyone know what the Problem could be?

How long are you supposed to hold down the 'shift' key in solution 3? The bar went all the way to the end but didn't progress to another screen or restart even after 10 minutes (none of the other methods worked either, solution 3 at least had the bar get to the end and not stop 3/4's of the way through).

hi this morning i tried out my ibook g4 i havent used in a long time and while starting it it gets black screen it turns on for a short time and goes black again what can i do to fix it i am thinking taken it rto a technician but maby it be a waste of time what can i do

I have tried all of these suggestions, sans the hard boot, and all I continue to get is the spinning wheel. The scroll bar never comes up. It will not boot into safe mode. I just keep getting the spinning wheel. I'm on an iMac 27-, 2011.
