If by free upgrade you mean you're choosing to be a digital slave to Microshit without getting paid for it (data mining and selling of that data...hellooooo?)..the sure..it's free lol.
You also sacrifice even more control of YOUR PC, (which let's be honest here...Microshit began taking away their end users's ability to control THEIR PCs little by little across the past 10 years anyways..nothing new)..
Yeah...that's freedom eh? (Facepalm)

It's telling me I have to turn on Optional Diagnostic Data, but the options are greyed out. I think at one point in time I might have turned off some features through a console or even delete a registry key. Oh well I heard it's official release date may be the 5th of next month anyway. It's time for me to wipe all the junk I've accumulated off this PC.

Sadly, any computer older than 3 or 4 years is unlikely to be compatible. As at mid September 2021, compatible Intel processors seem to be from 8th generation (Coffee Lake) onwards and Coffee Lake was released in late 2017. So you might currently have a powerful system but you won't be able to do an upgrade to Windows 11.

Do Windows updates still slow down your computer? I am thinking about moving back to Windows, but don-t want to end up again with a pc that-s horribly slow in 6 months from now.. You format it, it-s fast again. You install updates, it-s slow. Is still the case? I haven-t worked with Windows since Windows 7.

sound like you been sponsored by recoredit or marketing recoverit ??? your video title is screaming - I am click bite-
windows 11 has own recovery option which brings back the windows 10.
third party recovery software does not fully functional and may cause more problem even.
