So i have a seagate 2TB HDD that was an USB external drive. I could not connect to it anymore on my network. So i have it in a docking station now, when powered you can here it boot , sounds like the arms go out and read, and then it shows up in PC. But after about 1 min, it just sits there running -spinning- and seems to almost lock the PC up till i shut it down, but never can open the drive to get files. So sorry am i confused on your video? Does this mean i run linux/ubunto on one of my spare pc's and there's a chance i can get my data from a semi working hard drive? I have all ready replaced board in the back, from other videos saying that was most likely the cause, but that did not fix it. Thanks in advance if anyone gives feedback.
