honestly i found the vlc not as user friendly as you made it out. like the open source and free aspect. I'm use to simply coping the link and pasting in the app and then converting to mp3 to save in my download file, then opening it up to play in iTunes and saving in a playlist. this app not as straight forward. maybe I'm missing a step. clip converter was so much easier. my opinion. could be user error .took care of download of the app easy enough, found all the prompts as describe. could not get it to convert the audio file to a mp3..

Kevin I enjoy all of your know how vedios; I am having trouble in VLC and it might be because I open up youtube and copy the URL to paste in VLC--however it is not working right as I don't get the conversion to work. I notice some vedios goes into the program and delete some entries in it--could you explain if this is necessar.

You skipped over the part of downloading the youtube video to your computer. You spent a large portion of video about downloading VLC, fair enough. Now how about the part of getting the source, that would be the other part of it as well.

Thank you for this video! I bought a meditation I really wanted to do and had been set up as an mp4 file. I didn-t know what to do, but now I can convert it and put it on my MP3 player as planned. :)

Can you convert an MP3 back to a video format? I received a file that is supposed to be video but it came in an MP3 format. I'm trying to somehow get it back to its original video.
