I don't like this method. It doesn't list the time and dates of each message. Nor does it save the photos that were sent. It kind of skips around the actual data and if needed for legal reasons you kind of have to know what the conversation was about to get the jest of what's being said and who said what. You also open yourself up to being hacked by giving permissions and it most often links to your Google account, they already too much in your business. If you forget to turn this off you open your device up to a world of hurt.

FIX....this did not work for me at first.... After selecting your contact and sms thread, it looks like you have to tap the screen to 'select' or 'activate' the page, then at the top of the screen (RHS) tap the three dots menu (which then changes from the previous option), it will then allow you to 'Print Conversation'. You can then save it as a pdf (in your docs) and then via a cable transfer it to the computer. Nothin' is straight forward, is it!! :-)

After spending the better part of a Sunday morning trying how to save my texts to my computer (which I thought would be simple, right?) - I found this video tutorial and it works 100%, the entire text threads are saved as a pdf that I can print out. Hint - set the video speed to 75% so you can follow along :-) THANK YOU TECH JUNKIE ! ! !

Hi, thanks for this, that's realy great! :)
It looks like it will also save pictures attached to the messages, but when I open the pdf. no pictures are attached
- Am I doing something wrong, or can I not save pictures with each message?

Thanks for the guide. Unfortunately, when backing up it only downloaded my received messages. Is there a way to backup the sent messages as well?
