New Release of Archcraft OS. Will It Change My Mind? DistroTube Last year, I took a look at a new Linux distro called Archcraft OS on camera. I trashed Archcraft on that video due to it being virtually unusable due to some insanely small font sizes that caused me pain just looking at it. Well, Archcraft has recently had a new release with a lot of changes, and the main dev has asked me to take another look at it. Fair enough. Will the new release change my opinion of this distro? - https://archcraft-os.github.io/

Well, I have Midori installed (as well as badwoolf (AUR)). And yes my main browser is firefox, but if I don't have it opened and I just want to very quickly search the meaning of something and close the browser, I would launch any of the two aforementioned. Because in my (very) old core2duo laptop, even with SSD, firefox takes about 5-6 seconds to launch (at least). So, for a lightweight distro based on openbox, it could make sense.
The thing I hate about midori... is that -quickview- on new tabs that can't be removed ---, that shows where you have browsed before. I really hate that, and thats why usually I would go to badwolf to just search something really quick

It's there a way to modify the folder based system which is used for finding end running programs? When I click the right button I would like the apps which I commonly use to be displayed and Below those have the folders showing all available apps. Even better I would like to have icons for each of the commonly used apps to be displayed upon clicking the right Mouse button and then have an option to go into a folder system for all apps which would be similar to Windows 10.

DT, thanks for video!
One question is about description, where you list software that you use.
Why there Brave browser, when it has undisabable -update- and telemetry? Instead of ungoogled chromium or librewolf?
Even ffox with right settings is more free browser than brave.

Only one problem with this video and that is that Manjaro no longer has a Community edition of Openbox. And from what I have seen of Archcraft I'm thinking of switching from my Manjaro Openbox since its not really in production anymore. Thank you for doing this for us.

The root file manager shortcut is for Thunar instead of PCManFM probably because PCManFM doesn't have the 'run as root' option anymore. You can manually add it back, but I guess the devs found it too big a hassle.

I like this distro, but It has some minor issues in the top bar and in the right-click menu, but overall I think this is a great lightweight distro and it is arch-based :)

this one is seriously good ...just Stunning !!! would be nice to add something like zentile to openbox instead switching to bspmw..for tiling purposes

ArchCraft is my next distro just because I want a bspwm environment that looks good but I don-t have the nerves to customize all by myself -
