If you like Windows features and software you can use -React OS-, it's Linux based too but rebuilds the Windows source code from scratch based on Linux;) Yeah you can run Windows software and no its not a emulator but the real deal. This is by far the best Linux System closest to Windows. The only thing I hate on all Linux operating systems is the fact that a lot of WiFi USB sticks don't work. With a lot of effort, this is sometimes possible, but not guaranteed. That is a real shame, because what do I want with an OS that I cannot use on the Internet? ;) If you have a fixed cable based internet connection then that being said - use Linux, it's really great!

I-m obviously less forgiving. You chose Lightdm at install, didn-t pick a bunch of window managers, yet on first boot the login screen was SDDM and not Lightdm, and the installer had decided to install a whole bunch of window managers. I-m all for choice but when products are rushed to market without proper Testing/validation it drives me mad. I get that it takes a load of effort to bring these things to the end user but if you haven-t got the resources to ensure they actually work-..

Iv'e downloaded and installed about a dozen Linux distros. So far I like KDE Neon and Mint and yesterday I installed permanently Arcolinux replacing Zorin. I'm using the plasma desktop I love this distro so much. I find the biggest problem with linux is there are so many DE its hard to find the right one ,but finally I have decided on Arcolinux with plasma So nice to be free from Microsoft.

You should really try Garuda Linux. I am sure you will like it. All i do with that is simple graphical install then update then choose from dialogue which software i want then call all blackarch tools on it and Bingo... you now have every possible security tool with sweet looking and smooth working desktop environment...

Good video, DT.
Been running an ArcolinuxD installation with i3wm for about a month now. Only just recently got around to configuring polybar, picom, and various other customizations. I'm still a pretty new user and the learning process has been an absolute blast, especially with the help of your videos!

5:00 xf86-video-amdgpu is not the proprietary AMD driver. The proprietary one is called AMDGPU Pro, but it's not very popular, because mesa (3D) and xf86-video-amdgpu (2D) have better performance and compatibility. Both options use the open source amdgpu kernel module.

So I tried out arco and it's good, not great. It's bloated to hell and the installer is a joke... It installs stuff I didn't specify. So I started using archcraft and I am never going back :D
