5 Awesome Windows 11 Features you should use - Kevin Stratvert Find out about 5 features that'll make Windows 11 even better. Speak to your PC and have your computer write what you see, including all punctuation. Set up multiple desktops to separate your work and customize those desktops with names, backgrounds, and ordering. Snap your windows more easily using a new snapping helper. Also, find out about PowerToys, which allows even more power and control over snapping windows. Quickly restore groups of tabs using tab groups so you don't have to re-arrange your snapped windows after minimizing. Widgets give you relevant information, like weather, tasks, calendar, with just one click. Lastly, as a bonus, we look at the secret start menu, which gives you quick access to settings and the task manager. - Additional resources - Get PowerToys for FancyZones: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/ - PowerToys overview video: https://youtu.be/Gnr7bZQcEWU

1. Dictation - It's a gimmick at best which will be used just a couple of times after a fresh install and then forgotten. It's also not very useful for languages other than English.
2. Multiple desktops - This feature is present in Windows 10 as well. You can also rename desktops in Windows 10. The only difference is the ability to choose different wallpapers for different desktops.
3. Window snapping - Most monitors are shipping with this software and it has been available in Windows 10 (PowerToys) for years.
4. Widgets - Good idea on paper, but widgets on operating systems died 10 years ago for a reason. It's a terrible user experience which promotes clutter and bundling of unrelated information.
5. Secret start menu - It's not a secret at all, it's a standard right-click menu of a start icon. It's also present in Windows 10.
So, what exactly is awesome here?

I want to be able to personalize each app on the taskbar for each desktop setup it's basic stuff but seem Microsoft don't mind much about UX and doing practicable stuff. Pinned app management on start menu is awful, unproductive, restrictive and time wasting

source: i am viewing this on my 3rd vdesktop called -VIP- while my other one clearly says -main- and other says -email and money-

You know you could enable a second desktop to separate from your work with Windows Key + Ctrl + D ? So you can do it on Windows 10! To switch back Windows Key + Ctrl and Left and Right arrow key to switch between to desktops

Great video man. That first one alone helped me a lot. I'm using the voice with the auto punctuation in it right now. You can select something in settings that has it where it works on anything. Awesome.

This video is bad.
Virtual Desktop also exists in Win10.
Windows snapping is not new.
Snap Groups is a feature of a program not win11.
Your Bonus tip probably exists for more than 20 years

I do like how sleek and fast windows 11 is and it's very stylish too I upgraded thinking it might fix my network adapter problem but no luck it's still there - but so far I don't hate it

I have a Win 10 and a macOS, even with W11 I still feel macOS is still a smoother workflow. Microsoft is closer but still has a long way to go-they just have too much in their GUI.

Sorry for my English. I am from Argentina. Thanks for the tips. One Question. How do you put the icon of widgets on the middle of the taskbar instead of the left side?
