-DistroTube. Hi Derek, thanks for this very nice installation script. It has kept me persitent on installing it. Failed a couple of times on different distro's (arcolinux, endeavouros and also native arch). Now i've stuck with native Arch install. I found that the .xinitrc file does not get installed and when copying the file from /etc/X11/xinitrc location you should be adding the startup commands manual to get it working. I've finally got the Nvidia drivers installed and also with the GPU switching using Nvidia-Optimus (optimus-manager). That works great! I love the xmonad setup as it is so clean. The only thing i havent figured out yet is how to get the network-manager working. It says it's not running but don't get it why. Thanks for all the hard scripting work!

hi DT -
i started using ubuntu several years ago in my 50+ and now i am a big fan of arch linux powered by openbox, i3 or dwm-
all thanks for guys like you, Luke Smith, Ermanno Ferrari, Brodie Robertson and many others-
being extremely lazy and in terms of trying new releases i created a primitive bush script based on Arch Installation guide, not such sophisticated like yours one but with the same principle-
thanks a lot for a couple of great ideas you've shared here, as well as your great arch way away from Bill Gates

After seeing this video I saw another video of a guy that is basically trying to do the same thing butt taking Debian as the base. He is doing this in regards to the two that are trying out Linux but having a hard time. He will be using tilling desktops as well but have keyboard shortcuts to launch every thing. I have not used tilling desktops so interesting that others are trying to make things better for those starting out.

Checked it out on my little laptop for experiments, works flawless and looks cool!
One thing is missing, though, for laptops: There is no battery indicator or anything. I added my own back in on the xmobar, but it's not looking as nice as the other stuff from DT.
Thank you for creating all of this, makes my linux experience much more fun - and I learn a lot of new stuff!

Hard core Vanilla Arch and XFCE user here, I installed your script yesterday and am enjoying it immensely, learning by the truck loads, thank you very much for this, I'm already starting to learn to tweak stuff and making minor changes to suit my needs, again thanks for sharing the wealth!!! :D

I am not on arch, so I rather just do all that by myself and then I steal from your dotfiles repo.
But you really could make this into a arch based distro.
There are Ubuntu distros that do less work and basically just change the gtk theme.

Maybe to late, but you only forgot the -break- in the case statements, no complete rewrite of this part needed. Where you select your shell, you had the break only in the zsh part.

Cool!! I'd be very interested in a laptop edition. So you'd have easy control over brightness, bluetooth, wifi and it connecting displays would also be easy.
