Criminals Spreading Ransomware Through Dead People! - Surveillance Report 28 - Techlore Criminals Spreading Ransomware Through Dead People! - Surveillance Report 28 - Techlore Breseis: Even though its not the ideal or the 100% privacy with security, I feel Apple is really doing their best to get back to legitimately respecting their users. Especially with practically every 3 letter agency consistantly at their front door with demands and Zuckerburg being a pebble in their shoe. Their working with what they can and have.
I mean, idk, I guess I'm trying to see it from a different angle and wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt. It also does seem that other companies may be following suite. The pandemic possibly gave them a moment of clarity during this social distancing most of us having been somewhat doing.

Fortunately, Denmark's contact tracking app requires no user input, it generates random ids for each user and doesn't unmask until an infected user associates their social security number with their random id, to give the app access to the test result. Contacts are then told that they were in contact with -an unspecified infected person-. Only the central service knows the mapping from random ids to actual infected people, nobody knows the mapping between healthy people and random ids.
