This is ridiculous tin hat conspiracy theory nonsense. If anyone wants your exact address they simply send a request to your ISP which will give them your exact address because they are the ones that provide your IP address to your physical address.
If you are wearing a tin hat and are afraid of anyone knowing your location then get rid of all technology in your life, get rid of all phones and cell phones, cancel your cable TV, move to a commune that has no electricity nor gas servoce, because the truth is that any company that has any address for you can give up or sell your location information to anyone else.
VPNs do not help, most of them are provided by Chinese VPN providers which are all monitored and recorded by the Chinese Government.

Does a VPN actually stop this? I feel right now a bit like when I discovered my wallet was stolen. I feel violated. Like I've been robbed. I'm seriously considering going back to the old fashioned land line. Yes. I'm old enough to remember when nobody had a cell phone. Not just only the rich had them. No. No one. They were science fiction.
