There are a handful of competent cyber/crypto pros who are rock solid. Mr. Braxman you are across the board, from soup to nuts, the peoples sentry. Watchman and teacher. When we know the world powers are focusing on the haystack and not the needles, you must continue and educate your fellow citizens. I speak from a 34 year history in those worlds. Starting using paper and pencil. Continue your journey. With respect

FOLKS, NEVER respond to an online request to upload a copy of your drivers license, etc. Many TAX prep companies require this. They think secure vaults are -secure- but each person uses the single vault for that consultant, and the protocols are not encrypted and trivial to intercept in a man in the middle attack. DO NOT DO THIS for tax prep or any other reason.

My family always wonders why I'm against Amazon Alexa, why I don't want ring cameras, and most of my family is fine using regular SMS. Some of them even go out to protests and I know they have default configurations on their phones. And no matter how many times I show them or teach them how to use more private app or settings they don't care.

Oh well, you see, we still vote with our wallets.
No need for unnecessary expenses.
No need for advocating serial backstabbers.
Those who get screwed on their own decisions. Well, even law agrees, ignorance isn't an excuse.

This will lead to being like in the movie Idiocracy, When Not Sure gets detected by a surveillance system as a fugitive in Costco. There-ll be nowhere to hide.

Rob mentioned these companies that ban VPNs: Netflix, Sefora, Crate & Barrel, AT&T
. if you use a VPN, what other companies ban their use have you run into?
