In my experience, F-Droid apps are also often high quality compared to (free as in beer) Play Store apps. For example, I've tried dozens of free cookbook apps from Play Store, but couldn't find one that would satisfy me. Then I tried OpenRecipes from F-Droid, and it's exactly what I needed. Same with a meditation-tracking app, I've tried quite a few from Play Store, but Meditation Assistant from F-Droid proved superior.
Now, it's quite possible that commercial apps from Play Store offer better quality than free apps from F-Droid. However, what is clear is that Play Store is flooded with low quality apps, whereas F-Droid provides quality over quantity.

First thank you for sharing such great videos. Have you produced a video that will explain, simply, how to use one of your programmed phones and how using appropriate apps. Not a techie but interested in protecting my privacy

I installed F-Droid on my Samsung Galaxy 5 and now my apps close so i can't use them. So no mater the app, when I try to open it, it closes automatically. I can't open Duck Duck to get to F-Droid to uninstall it. Help!

I tried installing F- Droid on my Google phone and I got a message saying downloading these files can damage your phone, is this Google trying to keep me from downloading this by telling me this could damage my phone.

Speaking of good open-source apps, there are Aegis, AntennaPod, Simple Gallery, Simple Calendar, LibreTorrent, (Material) Files, (Material) Music, Syncthing, Telegram FOSS, LBRY, Simple Keyboard, DAVx5.

Hi everyone, noob here. I'm not sure I got this correctly: if I have an android phone that had Google when it was purchased, it can't be de-googlized with f-droid?

Thanks for the information. I guess that I could not use f-droid at least for my blood sugar software as I know they probably would not submit it to f-droid.

After trying fdroid my phone started taking screen shots, and not storing them. Looks like its hacked or something. It still does it after uninstall.

I can't download F droid, I try to but when I click download f droid it just redirects me to a page asking me for donations, and that it I have given up.
