I have Windows 10 all versions in 1 DVD pirated from Bangladesh. My dad bought it from there for like 50 pence, lol. I live in the UK. These are basically genuine fresh Windows 10 OS burned to a blank DVD. The DVD contains a separate Kingz Loader KMS installation cracking tool which you can optionally use. Once you install it, it activates and then you can uninstall the software after that. The slmgr is showing that my Pro edition license key is active for only 6 months. I guess every 6 months I have to reactivate Windows 10 and then uninstall the crack.
So far I have used prior to that Windows 10 for 2 weeks without activating and then used the crack, no bad symptoms or performance differences at all and no more annoying activate windows watermarks. All it does is installs a fake CD key and fools windows that the OS is activated. Now I don't know if Windows Update might mess this up. But so far it has been 1 week and Windows update hasn't messed the license.
I have used Windows 7 and 8.1 cracked as well in a similar way. Except that the Windows 7 does not expire, it is permanently activated last 10 years since using it again from Bangladesh. Windows 8.1 had to be reactivated every 3 months. But the KMSPico was installed to periodically update it.
My Windows 10 crack does not use KMSpico, it is slightly different named as Kingz Loader but the functionality is the same and no viruses, etc. If you can find a genuine crack that does not contain malware you can activate Windows 10. I haven't used a genuine Windows since Windows Vista and XP. All my Custom Built PCs last 10 years have been activated with pirated Windows from Bangladesh. ;D

I'm stuck with Windows for now because Overwatch... My Laptop runs Linux Mint rn, i just switched recently - and i wait for the day i actually am able to switch my gaming PC over to Linux as well PepeHands Linux just feels so much better and i' m only using it for about 3 weeks, 2 weeks Ubuntu gnome 18.04 and since day before yesterday Mint Cinnamon, which I'm way more comfy with.
I want to thank you Chris for doing this. Your videos helped me a lot and helped me find my way to Linux as smoothly as i luckily did. Especially, the Distro overview video helped me a ton - thanks!

Serious question. I dual boot Linux Mint and Windows 7. When Support for W7 drops in January, should I upgrade to W8.1 instead of W10. I really do not want W10 but I still want security patches. W8.1 will have supported security patches until Jan 2023. W8.1 seems like the amount of spyware is low compared to W10. Opinions? W8.1(avoid W10 as long as possible) or give in and go to W10?
Yes I know Linux is better, I still need Windows for some things.

Thanks worked fine took 2 attempts though trying to update win10 to win10 pro with win8 pro activation key first time when it booted back up said not activated and was showing in windows addition that it was win10 Enterprise for some reason tried activating again with same win8 pro code and this time it said activated and showed win10 pro

One question, why Windows rely on gui even in command line?
The Windows confirmation prevents this method to be used in a script.
Are there any an option to Accept this confirmation without mouse or automation framework?

If I use a Windows 7 key to activate Windows 10, can I still use that key for Windows 7? I have 2 hard drives and am thinking about installing Win10 on one of them, but I only have one Win7 key. I don't want to inadvertently deactivate my Win7 install.

Supposedly Window's will release a version of 10 that doesn't have all the telemetry included. Supposedly.
Right now they're still collecting all kinds of user information so I wouldn't run it outside of a VM or a gaming specific rig...

Here is an idea for an episode. Go to Walmart, and randomly buy a laptop using the draw-the-straw method. Then show step by step what it took to get Linux up and running and what problems still exist after living in it for 2 weeks.

I realize Windows is a necessary evil in some instances but have you heard any rumors of Windows going to a subscription based service? I mean, it would make sense...force everyone to upgrade and then charge for it.
