0: 18 HI everybody. I still use that Ryzen 3 2200G. The Host OS is Ubuntu 21. 04 on OpenZFS 2. 0. I use it to run my -60 Virtual Machines. I'm very happy with that CPU, I overclocked it to 3. 7GHz. Today I did run 2 Windows updates at the same time for Win 10 VM and Win 8. 1 VM. It did run for -1 hour at -100% CPU load. I even played music in a Win XP VM at the same time without any stutter. Note that those Win VMs did run with all 4 CPUs assigned, the only exception was Win XP Home, Home only supports one CPU. I'm very happy with the quality of the AMD Ryzen 3 2200G and the Linux scheduler.
In general if you need a CPU to run and update more Windows VMs you will choose a Xeon or Epic processor. This Ryzen 3 2200G even runs a Windows 11 VM, no TPM; no UEFI and MBR disk layout: )
The Ryzen 3 2200G deserves a place in the hall of fame. I will never abandon the Ryzen 3 2200G, unless the prices of the Ryzen 5 4600G or 5600G sink considerably below $200 the next 2years.

The first thing I thought of at the very start of this video was the AMD Athlon (specifically the 1 Ghz model) - It has my vote!
Re: 3. 5 in floppy disk, I loved it. Moving from 5. 25 in floppies, it was smaller, had higher capacity and faster. But I would vote for USB drives over it. Comparing the thrill I felt when I used each tech for the first time (3. 5 in floppy vs 256MB USB drive, the USB drive felt more magical. It had a lot more storage space (even relative to the era it-s in, smaller, faster and far more reliable. Plus it had a blue blinking LED to indicate activity, which looked really high tech. :)
Re: Core 2 Duo. My previous laptop had the Core Duo (precursor) and I used it for 11 years, retiring it in 2018 because it couldn-t play HD videos on youtube, which had become a basic need for me at that point. But it could still run Office 2013 decently enough.

the x box controller just moved the buttons around, not really ground breaking. the 1080ti is the best bang for the buc card of all time and will make it once it is realized. the exact monitor and the exact mouse are not really well know by most (i think) now the mouse in general should be in the computer hall of fame along with the 3. 5 floppy. the floppy was the media that software was on, and sharing files, drivers ect.

yeah, lmao at Atom.
you know how people say stick an SSD in an old laptop to make it faster?
that doesn't work with Atom netbooks. i have a raspberry pi knockoff (orange pi) that runs better than any of the three EEE Pc's i've had the -pleasure- of using. one of them is in a bag under my desk all disassembled, i've harvested the NIC, HDD and touchpad off of it.

a speed jump from 900 to 1000 is exactly that, a speed jump. a few months later that was passed up. The speed increase was not a new innovation it was going to happen and be passed up shortly there after. Adding more cores was way more innovative (dual core to the general consumer) than a speed of 100mhz,

Great show this year! I have one question/request though: Wouldn't it make more sense to separate categories for hardware parts and peripherals so that awesome and era-defining peripherals would have a chance to take their places on altar of the Hall of Fame?

I humbly submit two suggestions:
1. Future Hall of Fame awards should have categories.
2. Atom should be in the Hall of Infamy. - Yes it was influential, but for the wrong reasons.

No chat replay? -sad face- Anyhow, you all look dapper as can be. Alaina looks like she's about to walk right past security, and steal a $20, 000, 000 diamond from under their nose.
