Dunno if you ever read these, but the effect you're achieving here is NOTHING like what was done with cross processing! The effect was to render the photographs as tremendously grainy with NO natural color - usually with an orange value overall, although that could be varied in the printing process. Lots of fun!

I thought that with curves if you move the curve in a region that tere are no pixels there would be no change. Is that correct?
