Turn EXTREME BLACK into White with Photoshop!

As an illustrator. I'd like to point out that you can and maybe should use gradient maps to color the tie (maybe the shirt if you wanna)
Because gradient maps allows you to play freely with the color that will assign to values.
Now why is this important?
In the video the background was fairly greyscale so it works.
But in some cases like outdoor moon or maybe just a super red room. Something called ambient will take place in the photo.
With gradient maps you can have the shadows color moving toward the ambient and making it more believeable.

Wacom is good, but far from indestructible. I had an old Intuos II tablet that worked great until one of my cats barfed on it. The acids went down into the circuit board. Since it was well out of warranty, I took it apart and tried to clean it up. I ended up buying a new tablet. While the new tablet was still under warranty, one of the kittens chewed up the pen. Wacom told me that they'd replace the pen, since it was still under warranty, and accidental damage was covered. The question is: Why did my cat wait until the warranty expired before vomiting on my old tablet?

love your tutorial. but i have some problem right now. you know, i'm a Comic Coloring Designer. i work in Black and White Format that was 600 dpi HD and then turn it to Colored Version. i worked in Clip Studio Paint. but then i try to used Photoshop in my free time and i struggle in selecting specific area because the Comic line Art and the Dot are conected to each other, and i want to separated it but since i don't know much and just using Polyline manually, it's takes long time and stressed me out. do you know the fastest way to do it?

I been using both a mouse and wacom for over 5 years and still dont get how people only use the Wacom pen when editing or cutting out photos as the pointer is always slightly moving making it less accurate when selecting the next point. unlike a mouse the pointer stays in place wherever u stop the mouse.

I searched for this type of tutorial because I'm struggling to change a product that is black and navy into black and very light grey. This is so helpful I'll give it a go on Monday. You mentioned using a RAW image makes it easier, what would you do to the RAW first?

9: 31 you can fix this goto camra raw filter and choose Noise Reduction not too much just bit otherwise you will lose details
