As a wedding photographer, Nik Collection 6 has been a real game changer for me. Over the years, I’ve built a workflow around it using Photoshop actions, and that’s helped me create a style that doesn’t look like everyone else’s. My photos come out more professional and pleasing to the eye, and I can get there in just a few clicks. If I tried to do the same thing with Photoshop’s built-in tools alone, it would feel like a Himalayan task. Another thing I love is the perpetual licenseit means I can keep using it whenever I want without worrying about subscriptions. I’ll think about upgrading if the newer version offers something truly big compared to version 6.

Another informative and therefore valuable video. Thank you. I've been using Nik tools for a long time, especially Silver Efex. However, DXO's support is seriously lacking. After a Windows 11 update, the application crashed and refused to start. Reported the fault via their website with a request for support. A nonsensical answer only appeared after a few days. Fortunately, I have an IT background and solved the problem myself after three days of puzzling.

The way you broke down color correction vs color grading and then introduced the Nik Collection was just mind-blowing. The before & after examples literally looked like cinematic posters. The part where you stacked filters and controlled masks from Photoshop was super clear and helpful. Thank you for always making advanced tools feel so easy to use. Can’t wait to try the free trial and experiment with these effects myself.

I love Nik collection. Have been using it for years. Haven't upgraded to the newest version yet though.
I especially use colorEfex a lot. Tonal contrast for example is very useful on infrared or soft photos and some of the filters like film grain are great for composites.
I hope you make more videos exploring the plugin, cuz there's likely features i haven't discovered myself

Great Video. I see earlier this year there was a offert to get 1 extra product when purchasing Nik8, I think I'm going to wait to get something like that, as NIK doesn't support Raw and I first need to get the RAW files with better quality.

Yr video prompted me to load trial version as your video helps convert the programs complexity (given the many options / flexibility) into a simpler 'version' for me to try (and use masks). Will c how I feel at the end of 1 month!

You really have to change your content from Photoshop to AI models at this point, just to say relevant. I hope next video is about nano banana

It's not about creativity anymore, you just have to click a few buttons and you're there! I hate Ai as much as I like it!
