If the slant is too great you can run out of picture and blank checkered areas open up. Then you have to crop your picture. I found out that if your picture is not too complicated, you can expand your picture using the Crop tool which allows you to also rotate your picture. If you turn on the Content-Aware option first and then rotate, it will try to content-aware fill the corners many times successfully. Another way of proceeding is to use crop to expand the horizontal side first. Then expand the vertical side. It will use content-aware fill in each case. Then you can use the Upright function without running out of picture. It works in Photoshop CC 2020 so it should work in Lightroom too.

Hello and thank you for your tutorials! Do you know how to correct distortions caused by the camera lens? I'm taking photos of paintings with EF-S 18-55mm lens, and no matter what I try, the paintings always look bent. Fisheye lens correction helps to an extent, but doesn't solve the problem entirely. I tried using Warp, but it distorted some parts of an image that I didn't want to affect.
Do you have any recommendations? If yes, I'd really appreciate it: )

I typically import my photos into Lightroom and apply profile correction on import. Yes it does take some time however when I start editing I am working with an image that is adjusted based on the lens data used.

I did not know that profile correction slowed down the system! I was doing that first and syncing all my shots, then editing. I never knew to do that last! Thanks again!

Oh well that means I have to get a subscription from Adobe. That means my bank card/account will probably be hacked
