Build a bigger chest and ripped athletic muscle with no equipment! Everyone thinks that a bodyweight chest workout has to consist of only pushups. While they may make up a majority of the common bodyweight chest exercises, it's more important how you're doing them to make sure you're building muscle with your body weight chest workout. In this video I show you a typical chest workout set and the techniques that you must use to not just train to failure, but through failure for best results. I lay out four killer chest exercises that are to be performed each to failure without resting in between. This chest workout without weights relies on the intensity of this drop set technique to help you get a bigger chest at home. The four chest exercises without weights are: 1. The Jax Pushups (done to failure) 2. Lizard Walk Push ups (done to failure) 3. Rocking Horse Pushups (performed to failure) 4. Floating X Plank (done until final failure) This represents just one set in our home chest workout and shows you how hard you should be training to really build chest muscle quickly. When you're trying to get a bigger chest, you know you have to train hard enough and with enough intensity to force your muscles to grow. Doing the same set of push ups over and over again is not going to be enough to do this. For a body weight chest workout (or any bodyweight workout for that matter) to be effective, it needs to amplify the intensity to much higher levels than ever before. This video shows you one example of a type of home chest workout set capable of doing this. If you want to see an entire home bodyweight workout program without weights, then be sure to head to and

For my workout I do 10 sets of 100+ pushups split in 33-34 sub groups of Diamonds, Standard, and wide. With no rest in between each style, except for readjusting my arm position. I like to consider my body like a fraction everything I do to the front I do the back. In between each set of pushups I do 10 sets of 45 pullups /chin ups so that's approx 450 pullups. As in regards to a -Xero- alot of people are too busy to go to gym. And in the unfortunate event some people can't afford any equipment. In my opinion that shouldn't stop anybody from exercising. Now this isn't the best example but prisons used to have free weights, due to violent attacks they were removed. But prisoners are still coming back to civilization yoked out and built like brick shit houses. What I'm saying is the xero program is great and a lot of people can use it. Keep up the good work.

CAN SOMEONE PLZ ANSWER MY QUESTIONS WITH EVIDENCE (i would like jeff cause he answers from a scientific standpoint) anyway there seems to be a misconception about which pushup targets the chest muscles more. I see alot of people saying wide grip recruits more chest fibres. But another video on bodybuilding. com a guy said there was a study and close grip pushups build more chest. honestly since ive constantly been working, i cant FEEL which one recruits more muscles if you know what i mean. My body has gotten used to the pain.

I rarely see you reply to any comments but will try anyways: ) How many sets and how many times a week, can we do it like a push pull legs or full body where we do this to all the muscles in one day and take the next off, also does this help with cardio? Thanks and I like your methods a lot, some people call it complicated but I see it fun, I am a person who does not like routines that is why I like your ideas and variations.

Hey Jeff I've been working out for a good while for now and I'm doing Olympic style lifts now, my question Is could you give me some good (weighted) lifts that also work the abs. Yes I know squats, dead lifts, kettlebell swings are a couple of them. I was just wanting to know if you could take these exercises, tweak them and make them even more badass! Thanks buddy.

Can you do a video about the importance of muscular balance when working out?
Im 14 and i have focused so much on my anterior core and now iv been having back problems for the last 2 years because i have failed to realize the importance of muscular balance. Im currently in physical therapy to build by truck and posterior core.

Everyone can use more calistetic workout that targets chest, shoulders, triceps and core at the same time. and everyone can include one of four weeks per month to do some of these workouts to challange themselves. Working with dumbells, barbells and stuff makes u stronger, but less effective at some other view of strength use. :)

As a Jiujitsu fighter & instructor, I only do bodyweight workouts, they are actually drills. These drills promote daily function strength for activities of daily living, and great core strength, I really love your bodyweight only workouts, they've added to me overall. Thank you

In a workout, let's say arms. For the first exercise, I'll usually just do 3 sets of my max of supernating biceps curls. After that, my arms feel floppy and weak so even after 5 minutes rest, I can't continue with even 1 rep of say a hammer curl. What should I do?
