Can somone explain st to me. If Jeff himself has really flat feet, then why didn't he fix them with the exersizes that he showed us in this vid?
Are his feet maybe too flat for these exersizes to work? If so, what's considered too flat?
Did he actually do the exersizes (which worked and strengthened) his arches so that they r actually significantly less flat than they were when he started? If so, then after how long should we expect results on our own feet?
Did he maybe do them a lot and even though his feet are still visibly flat, any structural/pain related issues he has gotten from his flat feet have gone away bc of doing the exersizes? If so, then why didn't he tell us that our feet won't visibly change but will still somehow get better?
Is it possible that these exersizes, while strengthening one's feet, will not actually prop up (or help fix issues caused by) a collapsed arch, and that these workouts are just theoretically what should work but we don't have real proof will?
Is it possible that he just relies fully on his insoles bc these exersizes didn't help and that those insoles prevented him from getting any anatomical issues from his collapsed arches?
Furthermore, is there any proof, ie. studies that show these exersizes to be a fix? Are insoles maybe the only thing that help? Do insoles allow one to absorb their weight through their feet the way they r meant to, or does the arch of the insole cause an obstruction that impedes the midsection of one's foot from flexing and bending slightly toward the ground (which is how an arch is supposed to absorb energy, thereby rendering the insole useless for helping an arch absorb/flex under weight, and are only useful in regard to holding one's foot in the (technically) proper position and in low impact movements? If all the insole rlly does is prop ur foot up (and thereby block the shock absorbing qualities of the foot, does that still help significantly with the structural problems that flat feet cause in the knee, hips and low back? Please help me out here guys-

I have flat feet and over the years I-ve been noticing it less and less, trips to Disney Land usually left me close to tears at the end of the day when I-d be walking to the car, but on my most recent trips I have been pretty fine, still some pain, but overall good and no where near as bad as before. I have gotten into distance running and sometimes run 10 miles with my feet being the least of my problems. But today I ran only 8. 2 with a decently slow pace of 12: 00 min per mile on my elliptical machine but when I got off, it was almost felt like the bottoms of my feet were cramping, the pain was so bad I had to crawl to my room, grab a towel(because i didn-t want to sweat on the hardwood floors) and just lay there. I have no clue why after so much time of gradual improvement it turned into this. I-m mostly writing this because I-m still laying in my room bored, not being able to stand up (just because of my feet, the rest of me feels fine, in fact I-d even say the rest of me feels great, contemplating how this is going to affect me especially since I-ve been going down a weight loss and fitness path and want a career in military, and what I can do to dilute the effects of it. If you-ve read this far thanks for hearing me out and if you have any additional tips/advice it would be greatly appreciated if you would leave them!

Thanks so Much Jeff. Everthing you said in this Video was Bang One. Thank you so much for talking about it! -I am doing one of your Programs now. and as soon as I saw the conditioning Videos with jumping. I feel discouraged because I know that even If i do a few sessions of it i pay later. plus i have ARTHRITIS in one foot. I have done Hairdressing for 30 years mostly with wrong shoes. and now i work in a Nursing home. but i can tell the walking the halls are better that standing behind a chair all day. or better of the 2 evils. You are so right about Arthotics. they help kinda. you are right. Doesn't change and gave me different pain, I will do the foot exercises and hopefully it can at least improve. .As you say no excuses. so instead of hopping I used the -80's- Step (used for step classes) to get the job done and get my heart rate up! Love your Program. --You have help me so much!

Thank you so much Jeff for this video because it confirms to me what I already was thinking. Do you agree on my theory that if you should have a condition like this on one side, then most probably other areas are also effected by discrepancies? e. g. i got x-rays that prove that i have a leg discrepancy. my shorter leg is also the one with the flat foot. the foot is also shorter than the other. the exercise you recommended also dawned on me but it feels like i'm missing bone/flesh where i am supposed to press on the quarter and also in my heel which makes me loose my balance very easily. that why i consider some sort of lifts for that area.

I've always known that my flag feet were messing up my squats, especially since I walk on the balls of my feet which has resulted in me having calves of the gods. Unfortunately the tightness in my calves combined with these other issues has been preventing me from being able to even reach 90 degrees on my squats without ruining my form as well as making any kind of jumping exercise a painful nightmare. I've tried to tell people that my flat feet and tight calves make it impossible for me to squat the way they do (even with just body weight) and they just don't get it.

This was so helpful! I am a ballroom dancer and a server in a restaurant and I have had a flat feet all my life. Not one of the doctors I have went to ever talked about strengthening the muscles under my big toe or the other one you were talking about. Never have have they recommended simple excerscises like these ones to try to correct it. Only expensive insoles.
What I try to do to eliviate the pain is that I roll my feet on a ball everyday and try to wiggle the joints in my feet and toes beginning with the ankle joint. And it still hurts every day.

The worst thing I remember after finding out this a disorder that can actually be diagnosed and treated, is how some people have been loughing at my feet's shape like wanted them to look that way and am not shure if they even know how it pains when you stand for a long time, run or try to balance your posture. I think this issue is not well known world wide and many parents don't think like it such an issue to get a treatment for it and so many people grow up with the pain

I-m a big guy that has been working out for about 3 weeks for weight loss. I started running and let me tell you my conditioning is improving but what holds me back a lot is my flat feet. I feel a burning sensation after running for more than 4-5 mins straight. It- sucks because I-m not tired and I know I can keep up, it-s just my feet hurts and it is very uncomfortable. I constantly have to pause and walk it out so the pain goes away and I can run again. Sucks

My feet are like arched but flat, you can just about fit your fingers in, and my finger are big and wide rather than long and skinny, my legs are fine
I think as a fast person, not really an athlete, just pretty fast, I can run fast even with flat feet, but I could be even faster if I had arched feet, my genetics don-t make sense, my parents both have arched so the chance of not having their arched either mother or father is virtually impossible

I have had flat feet all my life and when people say it doesn-t affect them I have just realized how much it has affected me. My whole lower body is misaligned because I have flat feet. My knees fold inward and my glutes are usually never engaged. I also have that post anterior tilt thing he talks about in his other videos so my butt looks super thicc cuz the muscles aren-t engaged. I am only 19 btw so now I have to focus on fixing this -
