So I've never been a big guy, never been able to lift big weights etc etc. I don't have massive amounts of spare cash or gym memberships or ten ton of home gym bits and bobs. I've got two dumbbells with interchangeable metal weights up to 10kg per dumbbell. Jeff's videos are helping me loads however, understanding why something works and doesn't work helps me to do lots of home exercises. And I'm slowly getting generally bigger, so much so, others are noticing. A big thank you to Jeff for all these videos, they're really helping me and hopefully helping others. Jeff, im a big fan of your videos and can honestly say that I-ve benefited from quite a few of them as well as the knowledge that you share with us. I would like you to cover the concept of adaptation as well as download (unload) cycles in your training program. I feel like that could benefit a lot of your viewers. I remember following one of your firearms training videos and developed some nasty tendinitis because I completely skipped adaptation and rest in my training. Some of the viewers here might simply follow the plans that you recommend but try to do to much to fast and end up taking two steps back. Thank you!

What's your thoughts on muscle gaining on plane based diet? I recently switched to plant based for inflammation on some of my joints and seems to be helping but I have a fast metabolism so I'm trying to find ways to keep and or gain muscle. I appreciate all your insightful videos and the mindful muscle ways you go about training. I am in my 40's and have been learning that longevity is key when programming workouts and not racing through just to finish in record times. Keep up the good work! Aloha

Thing is you look around in the gym and the guys who are huge are the ones doing swinging and bad range of motion, and the small guys are the ones doing it slowly, ive always gone with your method of slower and trying to get the contraction better but I do get skeptical when the huge guys do the opposite.

Can anyone comment - does taking the slow rep method to build more muscle mass and even stronger muscles as well, reduce the explosivity of the muscles?
Because I've always avoided slow reps for just that reason. My primary goal is speed and power, not size and looks.
