I couldn t agree with you anymore on the barbell hip thrust! Very effective in firing the glute maximus(one of the largest muscles of the human body! There is also a lot of good research on it too which I m sure you know! Im also a big fan of the single leg DB hip thrust since I find that some people training from home don t have all the weights to overload a barbell or simply because based on different body types some may find it difficult to get in the starting position! Once again great video and demonstrations Jeff!

i think i just have great glute genetics because all i did was just do a lot of heavy deep squats( a to grass) with the bar laying on my traps for years and now i almost hate training my legs as a guy because i get tired of chicks telling me i got some nice glutes

The glutes are even better worked with hip thrusts on the second half of the lift. The middle point to the top. If you focus on that range and not bring it all the way to the floor you work the glutes A LOT more. I think it s also known as KAS hip thrusts.

I do single leg RDL's and let me tell you, they LIGHT UP my glutes big time. I'm super sore today as a matter of fact.
John Meadows has a video on it. That's where I learned it from.
Slight knee bend but no knee movement. 100% hip hinge movement.

Crazy, I've literally been focusing on these two exercises with just a bunch of sets. My body was telling me these were all I needed. My ass plumps right up. I'm a female. And a lot of the other stuff just doesn't seem to get me the pump I want.

I do barbell squats, bulgarian forward leaning split squats and goblet squats and my cheeks are round af. Bridges/hip thrusts are great but can't do them atm. I only have iron plates and I can't fit under my 20kg plates.

Do these exercises work on Asians? We aren't KNOWN for our butts. Even when we're at our height of peak fitness!

Squats and Leg Presses for glutes. anything else is unproductive use of time and energy. and produces inferior results. Always do exercises that yield the BIGGEST bang for the buck.

Next gotta be only to back exercises for muscle growth. My wager would be some form of vertical pulling and some form of horizontal pulling.
